Job Title: Draining Machine Operator/Site Foreman for small team

Location: Based in York but requires travelling to site in a company van and occasionally working away from home       

Brief Description of Job: L Philliskirk & Son Ltd are hoping to expand their sportsfield construction and drainage business. We are looking to employ someone who has had previous experience with drainage, using a drainage machine and an excavator but they must also have the skills to be able to manage a small team.                
               
Main Duties:

• To operate draining machine
• Representing and organising a small team of staff
• To operate 360º or 180º excavator
• To be competent with setting up and working with lasers
• Be responsible for health and safety of themselves and other staff

Skills:

• Ability to manage and get the most productivity from the rest of the team
• Must have own transport with a full UK driving licence
• Quick thinking when under pressure
• Be presentable and polite
• Ability to communicate with site managers or main contractors
• Must take pride in their work
• CSCS card holder preferred but not essential
• Experience of Mastenbroek trenchers an advantage
• Experience of working on golf courses and sports grounds preferred
• Experience of other groundwork activities

Report to:
Contracts Manager and Managing Director

Age range:
Suit 25+

Working Hours:
Monday to Friday – 7.00am until 6.00pm and Saturday as and when required

Salary benefits:
Depending upon experience + bonus depending upon performance and productivity
