Job Title: Tractor Driver

Location: Based in York but requires travelling to site in a company van and occasionally working away from home            

Brief Description of Job: L Philliskirk & Son Ltd are hoping to expand their sportsfield construction and drainage business. We are looking to employ someone who has had previous experience with tractor driving and loading.

Main Duties:

• To operate a tractor and loader  
• To use a variety of attachments mainly spoil trailers and gravel trailers
• Some physical work including hand digging

Skills:

• Ability to work alone and think for yourself
• Ability to work as a team and carry out orders
• Must have own transport with a full UK driving licence
• Work under pressure
• Be presentable and polite
• Be responsible for general maintenance/looking after machinery
• Must take pride in their work
• CSCS card holder preferred but not essential
• Experience of working on golf courses and sports grounds preferred
• Experience of other groundwork and working with a variety of machines preferred
• Must be willing to learn new skills

Report to: Contracts Manager and Managing Director

Age range: Suit 20+

Working Hours: Monday to Friday - 7.00 am until 6:00pm and  Saturdays as and when required

Salary and benefits: Depending upon experience + bonus depending upon
performance and productivity.
