Verti-Draining

Over the year any well used sports pitch becomes compact. It is shown that this compaction can seal the surface of the pitch and make it difficult for any water to penetrate and get through to the drainage system. This often leaves the playing surface water logged and can restrict play.

Verti draining is a method of relieving the surface by introducing a series of spikes which penetrate the surface 250-300mm.

This method is repeated on average every year in the autumn or spring when the ground is soft.
